Today Shadi, Lauren and I woke up earlier than usual to go to Accedemia. We thought since we got there early we did not have to wait in line for a really long time to get into the museum…boy were we wrong! We waited in line for about 3 long hours! It wasn’t as bad as thought as I thought it would be, but it’s still long!! We saw the statue of David and it was so wonderful!! It was HUGEEEEE I felt like an ant next to it. It was such a beautiful museum! In the museum they had a video showing how they make the old religious gold gilded wood. It really blew me away…it was also nice because we got to sit down and rest while we watched the video. After the museum we had a delicious sandwich at this small cafe/bar and walked to exchange our money so we could buy some more stuff. After we shopped we walked home and on the way back we stopped by the park again to go on the swings and relax for a few minuets before heading back to get gelato and go home. It was such a hot and humid day today that the gelato really hit the spot!! When we got home I started to repack my suitcase to make sure that it doesn’t go over the 50pound limit…but I’m not sure how that will go! And now I finished skyping with Jason, which was really great because I miss him a lot and it was nice to see him and hear his voice. I also got a phone call from my mom and my brother today which made my day :) Tomorrow Shadi and Sheida will be going on their four day vacation to the beach and I will miss them dearly!
