Today Lauren and I set out for a day full of adventure at the Boboli Gardens! I didn’t know what to expect from the garden except that it was huge!! I was so excited to step inside and see the garden because I love places like that and I wish California had more places like this! I felt like I was in a movie filmed in the olden days! I could see myself being there for the summer and just enjoying the view with my family, but it also seemed like it would be really freaky at night time! haha The statues, buildings, and fountains were unbelievable! At one point I felt like I was either in Narnia or Harry Potter! This has definitely been one of the best days I have spent in Florence, such a relaxing day enjoying the view with Lauren. There were a lot of steep hills and lots and lots of dirt everywhere. The sun was beaming on us the whole time and we had a really big water bottle that we finished while we were there. But whenever there were plants and trees around it felt like it was 20 degrees cooler than the actual weather. I think today Florence might have hit 100 degrees, plus the humidity the weather seemed so dry. I definitely got a lot of weird tan lines! After the gardens we decided to go relax at the Piazza della Signoria and cool off before we headed home. We spend an hour or so there and decided to head back home. As we were walking by my aunt and uncle’s pizzeria we saw my Aunt who was so generous in giving us the key so we could go inside the house instead of waiting for her. When we tried to open the house door it took us about 10 min trying to figure out how the door was suppose to open, but finally Lauren got the door open! We are both very tired from todays fun day and tomorrow morning we’re waking up early stretching out our legs and getting ready to climb to the top of the Duomo! Hopefully I’ll be able to make it all the way to the top! 436 steps and a very high building…it’s definitely going to be one scary experience for me! Wish me luck!!
