Today Lauren and I were originally going to climb up the Duomo but we found out that it is closed on Sundays, so we decided to take the bus to Piazzale Michelangelo! We were first confused on what bus to take and this cute old Italian lady helped us with the bus to take to get to the beautiful piazza! Today was yet another hot day and there was absolutely no shade at the piazza but the view was unbelievable! I don’t even know how to explain the view, it felt as though the Duomo was so close and the David was so beautiful! We finally found a shady area and decided to have our lunch there. After lunch we took the bus back to Piazza Della Signoria. Lauren found a spot to draw, but I wanted to be able to lean back and relax so I went off to a different portion not too far away from her. I met some British boys that had come for vacation together and another Spanish family. It felt so nice and relaxing until a creeper wouldn’t leave me alone and kept trying to talk to me so I decided to go find Lauren and see what she was doing. There I was laughing with Lauren and I looked up and the guy was sitting across from us. So we decided to go look at an entry way to the museum right by the piazza. The art work and statues in the there were so beautiful and that was just the entrance to the museum! I’m sad that we only have two more days of this beautiful city, but I’m also ready to get back home and be with my family! Tomorrow we will climb up the Duomo on our last day here and I’m crossing my fingers I make it to the top!
